"dazzle gradually"

"Dazzle Gradually" 2016 poems, paintings, new art & photography--a diary, a discipline, a delight. Read over my shoulder as I post my unedited poetry ---you can see it in the raw.

Sapling Oak

Gesture of a Sapling Oak

There's the old man tree stiff with age,
I like his soft step pose.
Who knew the first gesture
of the early days would
stay forever frozen?

I know I joined this dance
rather late, and I've not
much left that bends,
but I hope that when my
likeness sets, I'm
graceful, just as he is.
