"dazzle gradually"

"Dazzle Gradually" 2017 poems, paintings, new art & photography--a diary, a discipline, a delight. Read over my shoulder as I post my unedited poetry ---you can see it in the raw or get my first book and see how the work evolves with new books rolling out next year.

Wandering

Wandering Jew,
your azure leaves
unfold endlessly-- an
unbroken chain.You
have no end. You
root anywhere.
You grow
a bush
from
one
remnant
of stem and leaf.
You can go without
water and survive, enter
darkness, and still curl
toward the light.
Wandering, you
may have
outlived
forty-
two

clay pots,
or one thousand.
You've never died, only
uprooted- tell me the secret
of your tent. How do
you know when to
hammer down
the stakes and
when, again,
it is time
to take
 them
up
?
